You will have to book an appointment if you want to get tested for COVID-19 in Niagara.
Niagara Health will no longer offer walk-in testing starting on Monday in order to help reduce wait times.
You'll have to call 905-378-4647 with extension 42819 (4-CV19) to book an appointment.
The local assessment centres have completed just over 5,000 tests so far this week and over half of them were walk-ins.
Niagara Health also going to prioritize patients who are experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to a confirmed case of the virus.
It's also going to test those who live or work in a setting where a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared.
The Ford Government will allow 60 pharmacies across the province to test patients without symptoms of the virus starting today, but none of those pharmacies are in Niagara.
