NH adding new COVID related statistics to its daily reports
The health system is reporting five additional deaths on Dec. 27, Jan. 7, 8 and 9.
Health officials adding they would like to extend their deepest condolences to the patients’ loved ones during this difficult time.
Currently there are 128 patients in hospital with the virus, of those 45 are being treated primarily for other conditions
Twenty patients with the virus are in the ICU and half of them are unvaccinated.
There are active outbreaks on four units at GNGH, as well as two units at the St. Catharines hospital, an additional outbreak on one floor at Welland General, as well as in the Welland site's extended care unit
Starting this week, Niagara Health will add a twice weekly update on the number of staff and physicians who are self-isolating due to COVID-19 and those who have tested positive for COVID-19.
