It's been honoured as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers
Niagara Health has been recognized as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers this year.
The honour comes from MediaCorp Canada, which evaluates national leaders who create inclusive workplaces for women, visible minorities and other groups.
Officials with Niagara Health say they have introduced a variety of programs, policies and initiatives over the past year, including Indigenous cultural safety training, an inclusive recruitment process, and diverse mentorship program for international nurses.
Niagara Health's director of Human Resources adds they will keep listening and learning to every member feels a sense of belonging.
