Niagara Health should be able store up to half a million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available.
It has recently purchased three medical freezers according to the St. Catharines Standard.
President Lynn Guerriero told the Standard that they should be able to store enough vaccines for almost everyone in the Region.
The freezers are about 20.4 cubic feet and the vaccines will be stored at a chilly minus 80 degrees Celsius.
