Ontario Health says it passed the goal of turning potential donors into actual donors
A recognition for Niagara Health for surpassing targets in support of organ and tissue donation.
Ontario Health, or the Trillium Gift of Life Network, has awarded Niagara Health the Hospital Achievement Award - Provincial Conversion rate.
During the course of this year and last, Niagara Health supported 13 organ donors, leading to 36 organs donated for transplants, saving 32 lives.
There were also 98 tissue donors, helping countless people.
Niagara Health adds the target rate for potential donors to be actual donors is 63%, Niagara Health reached 68%.
