The donation was made by MedSup Canada.
They collaborated with Niagara Health and all of the region's municipalities to make the donation happen.
On Thursday, about 80 pallets of masks were brought to the Scotiabank Centre in the Falls.
Volunteers assisted with unloading the pallets, storing them, and distributing them to every municipality in the region.
Niagara Region Community Services say that about 1.7 million of the masks will be donated to agencies in the area that assist vulnerable people in the region.
