Niagara Falls to Shine Purple and Gold for Kobe Bryant Tonight

The Niagara Falls Illumination Board will pay tribute to Kobe Bryant.

The American and Horseshoe Falls will shine purple and gold from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. tonight, to honour the Lakers legend.

He passed away in a helicopter crash earlier this year, alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.

Thousands of people gathered for a memorial service at the Staples Center today.

Today's date honours Kobe's number 24 Lakers jersey. Gianna also wore the number 2 for her basketball team.
