The City has received over $3.9 million for hosting Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino Resort
The City of Niagara Falls has received some money from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
Over $3.9 million has been paid to the city for hosting Fallsview Casino and Casino Niagara.
According to the OLG, Niagara Falls received $19,915,465 from April 1st, 2022 until March 31st, 2023.
Payment amounts made to communities are based on a formula applied across the province's gaming sites.
"OLG’s Municipal Contribution Agreement payments are building strong communities where people and families can enjoy a high quality of life," said Peter Bethlenfalvy, Minister of Finance. "These revenues help support local program and critical infrastructure, making a real difference for gaming host municipalities."
Since the city's first casino opened in 1996, Niagara Falls has received $194,903,995.
