David Giesbrecht is taking home $63,048.40, thanks to Lotto 6/49

A Niagara Falls man is $63,048.40 richer!

David Giesbrecht won the second prize in the May 13th, 2023, Lotto 6/49 draw.

The 66 year old says he's been playing the lottery for about 40 years.

"It’s nice to have extra spending money," said the retiree, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. "This will provide more freedom. It means we’ll be able to take a few more vacations."

He's considering renting an RV so he can see the country.

The winning ticket was bought at Giant Tiger on Thorold Stone Road in Niagara Falls.
