Victim suffered laceration on his head.
One person has been arrested following an assault in Niagara Falls.
Yesterday, Niagara Regional Police were called to a home near Bridge Street and Homewood Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found a man with a large laceration to the top of his head.
Detectives say the victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Further investigation revealed a firearm was involved, and a search warrant was conducted.
Police seized ammunition and a sawed-off pump action shotgun.
Facing assault and weapon charges is 37 year old Layton Stevens of Niagara Falls.
