Niagara Falls Man Charged After Stolen Items Listed For Sale Online

Police say stolen tools were listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

One person has been arrested after stolen tools were listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

According to Niagara Regional Police, the items were stolen during the overnight hours on September 22nd.

The complainant told police the tools were inside a car parked in the area of Barker Street near Drummond Road.

Police were called after the owner of the tools noticed the same items were being sold on Facebook Marketplace.

Officers contacted the seller, who said the items were still for sale.

When the seller arrived at a predetermined location with the stolen items in hand, undercover police made the arrest.

The items have since been returned to the owner.

Facing charges is 44 year old Archer Karr of Niagara Falls.

Police also found a Giant Revolt bicycle in Karr's possession that is believed to be stolen property.

The bike has significant identifiable markings, so a picture has not been released.

The owner of the bicycle is asked to call police at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009943 and provide a description of the bike.

A bail hearing for Karr took place on September 28th, and he has been remanded into custody.

He will re-appear in bail court on October 4th.
