Local paramedics will be handing out warm socks, toques and mitts to those in need over the cold winter months.
Niagara EMS will be participating in the Sock for Change campaign this year.
The local initiative benefits more than 60 shelters and charitable organizations in the Niagara Region.
Socks for Change spends about $2 on each pair of socks. This means a $20 donation can purchase up to 10 pairs for those in need.
