Niagara Catholic to Switch to Remote Learning in Event of School Strike

Board says students will have access to remote synchronous learning.

As parents wait to hear news about a CUPE strike on Monday, Niagara Catholic has released its plan for schools.

The board says if there is a strike, schools will be closed to in-person learning on Monday, and students will have access to remote synchronous learning.

In a letter to parents, the board notes technology and tech support for students and staff will not be as readily available, as many of their IT staff are CUPE members.

Teachers will be taking attendance, and parents are expected to report their child's absence using Safe Arrival.

More information is available below.
