A Smithville company is getting some money from the federal government.
Stanpac is getting $5 million to make new compostable and recyclable packaging, and the move will create 30 new jobs.
The announcement was made today by Economic Development Minister Filomena Tassi and Niagara MPs Chris Bittle and Vance Badawey.
The company specializes in packaging for the dairy and beverage industry.
The money will be used towards equipment that will help the company transition to sustainable packaging.
