Provincial government says it'll be built at corner of Kalar and McLeod Roads
A new elementary school will be built in Niagara Falls.
The provincial government is providing $28.8-million to help construction of the school near the corner of Kalar and McLeod Roads.
The province has provided the District School Board of Niagara with approval to move forward on the school that will create 608 spaces and 49 licenced child care spaces.
Mayor Jim Diodati says the benefits of the new school will be immeasurable, and Sue Barnett, the Chair of the DSBN, adds the impact of this new build is significant for the board, students, staff and community.
The government says this is part of the province's commitment to provide about $15-billion for school construction, repair and renewal over ten years.
