The splash of blue is sure to catch your eye
The Royal Canadian Mint has added a splash of blue to the dime for the first time ever, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Bluenose, the famous fishing schooner on the coin.
In addition, the Mint has redesigned the image of the Bluenose for the first time since it appeared on the dime in 1937.
Six million of the coloured coins are being placed in circulation along with nine million uncoloured versions.
