It's National Francophone Immigration Week in Welland and beyond.
Mayor Frank Campion says it's a chance to welcome new residents to the city and honour Welland's french speaking community at the same time.
"Observing multiculturalism is important because it inspires relevant discussions that help us progress as a diverse city."
The Rose City is one of the 26 designated francophone communities across Ontario with about 11 percent of it's population speaking french.
