Charges Laid in QEW Collisions

Update: Police say they've opened all lanes of the Toronto QEW near St. Catharines

Police say charges have been laid in these preventable collisions, and injuries have been downgraded to non life-threatening.

Police also posting online all lanes are now open.

Multiple collisions on the QEW in St. Catharines this morning has shut down all lanes of the Toronto bound side.

Police say traffic has been getting off at Glendale Avenue.

They say there were two collisions, the first near the Niagara Street overpass, that's been cleared, that involved three vehicles, one driver taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police add the other crash, just after Welland Avenue, involved two transport trucks and five other vehicles.

Two people that we know of sent to hospital.

Updates coming soon as to when lanes are opened up.
