Debate on the five Senate amendments is being put off until Tuesday.
The amendments are designed to expand access to assisted dying.
That leaves just three days before a court-imposed deadline to bring the law into compliance with a 2019 Quebec Superior Court ruling.
The court found that limiting assisted dying to people who are already nearing the natural ends of their lives was unconstitutional.
The deadline for action on Bill C-7 has already been extended three times.
