MPPs Calling for More Funding for Mental Health

Some MPPs in Niagara are calling on the government for more funding to address the mental health crisis.

Representatives from over 30 different support groups joined in a mental health roundtable discussion at Pathstone yesterday.
Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch says money spent on prevention, will be saved on treatment.
St. Catharines MPP Jennie Stevens says front line staff are doing everything they can, but they can only stretch so far.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says mental health affects us all.
The province is investing $3.8 billion over 10 years to expand existing mental health and addiction services and create new ones.
