Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says the home is in a crisis.
The home is currently battling a COVID-19 outbreak that has resulted in over 100 positive cases.
This isn't the first time Gates has demanded the province step in to assist the home.
He first raised the issue on December 22nd, at which point Niagara Health took over management of the facility.
They took over from Conmed, a for-profit company that also owns another Niagara Falls home in the midst of an outbreak, Millennium Trail Manor.
Gates says it's vital that the provincial government step in right away.
"The Ford government has the money sitting in its bank account, we need it today at Oakwood Park Lodge to send in more staff. Not tomorrow, not next week, we need it today."
