More businesses in Niagara and across the rest of the province will be able to open in the next couple of days.
Premier Doug Ford says garden centres and nurseries will be able to fully open this Friday.
“Heading into Mother’s Day this weekend please be sure to support your local garden centre or nursery and pick up some nice flowers for all the great moms out there.”
Ford says hardware stores and safety supply stores will also be able to reopen on Saturday as long as they follow public health measures.
“The same workplace safety requirements that apply to grocery stores and pharmacies will apply to these stores. Those include physical distancing, contactless payment options and sanitizing surfaces.”
Non-essential retail businesses with a street entrance will be able to start offering curbside pickup on Monday.
The Ford Government is also expanding essential construction projects to include below-grade multi-unit residential construction projects (ex: apartments and condos.)
Ford says all public health measures remain in place and will be strictly enforced.
He adds moving too fast and ignoring public health guidelines could set us back.
