Celebrations out of control after the Montreal Canadien's game six victory over the Las Vegas Golden Knights

Montreal police using tear gas to break up fans celebrating the Montreal Canadiens' victory over the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Shortly before 2 a-m, riot police were still working to disperse groups of revellers in downtown Montreal.

Artturi Lehkonen scored at 1:39 of overtime and Carey Price made 37 saves to send the Vegas Golden Knights back home to the desert with many unanswered questions.

Habs won the series in six games.

The Canadiens now look to bring hockey's Holy Grail back over the border for the first time since Montreal's triumph 28 years ago against the Los Angeles Kings.
