Niagara College and Bethesda partnering for Friday afternoon
Niagara College and Bethesda Services are joining forces to benefit children with autism, and students of the Autism and Behavioural program.
Melissa Sullivan is with Bethseda, and says it's a day of hands on learning for students, and socialization for children with autism.
It's Friday afternoon. "Kind of an enhanced version. There's about 30 children already registered, with about 10 more spots available. We have one to one support available for the children that need it."
The pilot of this program was in February, and she says they're doing this again due to feedback from parents.
"There was a number of activities available for the children at the gym at Niagara College. One of the favourite activities was an off-ice curling station."
She adds for anyone interested in this program, to contact Bethesda Services.
