Police say this dangerous behaviour on the QEW could've lead to a collision
Provincial police are calling it very dangerous behaviour, after a man was seen catching a ride on the back of a delivery truck on the westbound QEW near Burlington.
Sergeant Kerry Schmidt tells us it happened around midnight, yesterday morning, near Burloak Drive, when the driver was alerted by the driver of another car something was wrong.
"The driver pulled to the shoulder, and as he stopped, the male that was described as wearing a black jacket and grey pants, jumped off the back of the trailer and was last seen running up the ramp to Burloak Drive," he says.
Police looked for the man but without success.
"The truck driver advised he had last loaded and stopped at the yard in Milton, about half an hour earlier, and has no idea when or how this person jumped on the back of the trailer and hitched a ride."
Schmidt adds there could've been injuries or death, even a collision, if the man had fallen off.
