Police say he jumped after an officer tried to talk to him near Table Rock Welcome Centre last night
Police need public assistance to help identify a man they say jumped into Niagara Falls last night.
Niagara Parks police say they got a call just after 9, about a man on the edge of the Horseshoe Falls near Table Rock Welcome Centre.
A police officer tried to talk to the man, which now means the province's Special Investigation unit is looking into this.
Police add the man is presumed dead, nor has he been found, and his ID is not known.
They say he's black, between 30 and 40 years old, was wearing a dark-coloured toque, dark clothing and backpack.
