Police used a search warrant for a house in St. Catharines last week
A police presence in a St. Catharines neighbourhood last week leading to gun related charges.
NRP say they began a gun investigation in relation to a suspect, which led to using a search warrant Wedesday night at a house in the Wallace Street and Powerview Avenue area.
Police found some guns, one of them loaded, as well as some ammunition, and nine ounces of cocaine.
42-year old Dalshan M. Baines of St. Catharines was charged:
- Careless Storage of Firearm (2 Counts)
- Possess Forearm without Holding a Licence (2 Counts)
- Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possess Firearm other then Restricted or Prohibited
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
- Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm knowingly not Holding a Firearm
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing last week in St. Catharines.
