Police say they were found near the Niagara River Parkway, one puppy did not survive
A 63-year old Niagara Falls man has been charged after a number of puppies were abondoned along the Niagara Parkway late last month.
Police say seven puppies had been left.... one was found dead in the water, two others are unaccounted for, and four have been recovering at the SPCA.
Police arrested Mario Sid Silva on Wednesday at a home in Niagara Falls, charging him with two counts of cruelty to animals.
He had a bail hearing yesterday in St. Catharines.
The SPCA says once the puppies are at the right age, they'll be put up for adoption.
