Police say he's also charged in connection to Wainfleet gas station robbery
A 28-year old Niagara on the Lake man is facing charges after a robbery and an attempted robbery.
Police were called October 20th to a gas station in Wainfleet, to find an armed suspect demanded money and cigarettes, while also firing the gun into the ceiling.
The employee was not hurt, and the suspect took off.
Police say the 2nd incident stems from an attempted robbery of the Enterprise Truck rental store in St. Catharines on Monday, again, no one was hurt.
They say the suspect walked in with a gun, demanded keys to a vehicle, and fled after the employee refused. A portion of Lake and Scott Streets were temporarily shut down while police searched for the suspect.
They were able to track the suspect to a Niagara on the Lake home, and just after 4am yesterday, Christian Adam Edmunds surrendered.
He had a bail hearing in St. Catharines and remains in custody.
