The Dodgers beat the Yankees 7-6 at Yankee Stadium last night.
NEW YORK - The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the World Series once again.
The Dodgers celebrated 7-6 victory over the New York Yankees in Game 5 at Yankee Stadium last night. New York was leading the game 5-0 after four innings, but LA was able to score five runs in the fifth inning to tie it up.
Freddie Freeman was named the World Series MVP, after he homered the first four games of the series and hit a dozen RBIs.
Dodgers manger Dave Roberts says it's also a fitting victory for Shohei Ohtani, who signed a record-setting $700 million deal with the club late last year.
This is the second World Series championship for the LA Dodgers in five seasons. The New York Yankees last won the championship in 2009 with their 27th World Series title.
