Police were called to a Wainfleet home early this morning about a break and enter, but also found something else
An overnight home invasion in Wainfleet has led to the discovery of illegal cannabis, but also the search for wanted fugitives.
Police were called at around 3 this morning to a house in the Highway 3 and Shafley Road area, to find the suspects, armed with guns, broke in, and searched inside and outside the house, but nothing of significance was taken.
Police say the suspects were seen leaving in 2-pickup trucks, one white, one black.
However, while on scene, police also found over $2.8-million of unlicenced cannabis plants growing.
- 5729 Cannabis marijuana plants
- 4.62 lbs of dried cannabis
- Total estimated value of $2,853,050
As the investigation continues in both cases, police ask for anyone living nearby with video footage to call them to help sort this out.
