About $30,000 has been raised for Habitat Niagara, while boosting local restaurant sales

During the month of May, over 30 restaurants participated in the initiative, with a goal of hitting $25,000.

For every $25 takeout order placed with one of the restaurants, the charity received a donation from its sponsoring partners.

The restaurants were able to generate over $385,000 during the initiative, with community members ordering more than 15,000 meals.

Habitat Niagara hopes to build its 69th home in Niagara at the end of the year, serving 74 families since 1993.
