Accusations include sexual assault
A quarantine screening officer is facing charges after allegedly demanding a woman pay a cash fine for COVID-19 health order violations -- and then sexually assaulting her after she refused.
Halton regional police say the accused had been trained as a designated screening officer under the Quarantine Act and was doing a quarantine compliance check at a home in Oakville on February 18th.
They say a 27-year-old Hamilton man has been arrested and is facing sexual assault and extortion charges.
