A reminder from the Grimsby Fire Department.
The department is encouraging you to be cautious while enjoying barbecues during the warmer weather.
You're asked to never leave the barbecue unattended while it's in use, and make sure grease doesn't build up on the burners or at the base of the barbecue.
Residents are also advised to keep kids and pets about three feet away from a hot barbecue, and allow it to cool completely before closing the cover.
