Grace Period Continues for Expired Licences

How many of you have been driving around with expired licence plate stickers, raise your hands?

Well, according to CTV News its still okay.

During the first wave of the pandemic the province began urging people to stay away from Service Ontario centres because of long line ups and the risk of COVID transmission.

As a result, the province told police not to ticket anyone with an expired sticker or an expired licence.

According to CTV that order is still in effect.

But if you haven't renewed 2020's sticker and your 2021 renewal is coming up, you will get dinged for both when you go to pay.

Meantime, the Ministry of Health telling the news network, most expired and expiring health cards remain valid as well.
