Goats Used in Land Management

City of Niagara Falls has them feeding in a cemetery, as opposed to using chemicals or equipment

A herd of goats have been put to work feeding at a Niagara cemetery, part of land management.

They're at Willow's Rest, which the City of Niagara Falls says is the first green burial section of Fairview Cemetery.

Kay-Dee Farms and Tee Creek Dog Training are working with the city to bring the goats in, to naturally clear weeds and brush, reducing the need for chemicals or equipment.

The city adds burning has also been used to manage naturalized spaces, but goats provide a safe, effective alternative to eat up invasive plants.
