Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates will be running for re-election in the same riding during next year's provincial election.
The NDP says the party will officially nominate Gates in a meeting tomorrow.
Special guests for tomorrow's meeting will include NDP Leader Andrea Horwath and Brantford-Brant candidate Harvey Bischof.
