Niagara Falls MPP says pharmacies "overwhelmed" with requests for booster shots.
A local MPP is calling on the province to send more COVID-19 booster shots to Niagara.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says he has written a letter to the Ministry of Health, saying local pharmacies and doctors are being "overwhelmed" with requests for boosters.
Gates notes since public health has focused on vaccinating kids aged 5-11, family doctors and pharmacies have more capacity to get the shots out as quickly as possible.
Earlier today, people 50 and older became eligible to book booster shots through the province's vaccine portal.
