No putting the brakes on gas prices this month.
Dan McTeague, who heads up Canadians for Affordable Energy, says gas prices are expected to hit records of 151.9 in the GTHA today, and 150.9 in other regions including Niagara.
And the gas analyst says don’t be surprised to see gas climbing to $1.60 a litre this summer
McTeague says there are a number of factors at play, including the low value of the loonie, the upcoming switch to summer gas, the carbon tax and growing tensions between Russia and the Ukraine.
