St. Catharines turns 144 today and the city wants you to party in place.
Mayor Walter Sendzik says the people of St. Catharines have worked hard to do their part to stay home during the pandemic, so this is a great opportunity to celebrate the community from the safety of your home.
You could make a cake with a city theme, show you pride with artwork, say thank you to our essential workers, support a local business or decorate with birthday themed sidewalk or window art.
Residents are encouraged to get creative with their celebrations and share them on social media with the hashtag #OurHomeSTC or tag the city’s accounts.
St. Catharines was first incorporated on May 1st, 1876.
