Fort Erie is still dealing with the aftermath from last weeks storm, and now it's applying for financial help from the province.
The Municipal Disaster Recovery Assistance program would help pay for infrastructure repairs and other operating costs above the regular budget.
Officials with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will be in Fort Erie today assessing the damage.
If they give the green light, local homeowners would also be able to apply for funding under the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program.
