They have broken ground on two new residence buildings for the Fort Erie International Academy.
Crews will build two, three-storey townhouse-style buildings along Tait Avenue and they’re also going to build a third residence once Phase two begins shortly after Phase one.
Both phases represent a $12 million investment and the three blocks of residences will be able to house over 300 students.
An official groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday. Mayor Wayne Redekop attended, alongside Councillor George McDermott and CAO Tom Kuchyt.
