Kyle Dubas to receive honorary doctorate from Brock University

Hockey executive Kyle Dubas is receiving a significant honour from Brock University.

The former general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs is getting an honorary degree during this year's convocation.

Dubas, who is now the President of Operations of the Pittsburgh Penguins, will receive his degree this Wednesday.

He graduated from the school in 2007.

Honorary doctorates are also being given out to Cheekbone Beauty Cosmetics Inc. founder and CEO Jenn Harper and Women Get On Board Inc. founder and CEO Deborah Rosati.

All of the honorees will speak to the graduating class.

This comes as the school officially installs Lesley Rigg as its Seventh President.

While she began her five-year term on November 1st, the instalment always takes place during the next convocation.

Rigg previously worked as Vice-President (Research) and Professor of Geography at Western University in London, Ont.
