Food banks say 2022 was the 6th straight year of increased need
It appears the situation is only getting worse when it comes to families needing food banks in Ontario.
A coalition of hunger relief organizations in Ontario says 2022 marked the sixth straight year there was in increase.
Feed Ontario revealed in its report 587,000 adults and children visited the province's food banks a total of 4.3-million times between April 1st, 2021 and March 31st, 2022.
The organization adds that represents a 15% jump, and a 42 per cent rise in the number of visits compared 2019.
