Fonthill man accused of assaulting Brampton woman.
A 54 year old Fonthill man has been arrested in connection to a sexual assault that occurred in Mississauga last year.
Peel Regional Police say a 26 year old woman was sexually assaulted in December while at an Ayahuasca ceremony.
The gathering was held at a residence near Hurontario Street and Lakeshore Road.
The victim wasn't injured.
Officers have arrested Mario Restrepo, who faces a sexual assault charge.
He's due in court in November.
Investigators say Restrepo is known to conduct these ceremonies at various spots throughout the province, and they believe there may be more victims.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121, extension 3460 or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
