Following NRP Car Leads to Charges

Police say the driver was aggressively following, officers eventually found variety of drugs, in Fort Erie

A wide range of drugs found have been found, and two people from Fort Erie charged, after police say a vehicle was aggressively following an unmarked police car.

It all happened around 1:30, early yesterday morning, when Niagara regional police say one of their unmarked cruisers was aggressively followed.

A marked police vehicle stopped the driver, arrested two people, officers then finding drugs:

  • 21.3 grams of suspected cocaine (value $2550)
  • 11.8 grams of suspected crack cocaine (value $1180)
  • 68.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine (value $4767)
  • 7.5 grams of suspected fentanyl (value $1500)
  • 68 tablets of suspected oxycodone (value $680)

41-year old Shane Moore is charged:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
  • Stunting (Highway Traffic Act)

Moore faces several additional Highway Traffic Act offences.

Police add 40-year old Jody McNab is charged:

  • Mischief Under $5000
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
  • Having Liquor in an Open Container in an Unauthorized Place (Liquor Licence and Control Act)

They were held in custody, waiting for a court appearance.
