As of Thursday morning, caution still needed when heading out
Update 6am, Thursday:
Keep those headlights on as the sun comes up, thick fog remains covering the Niagara region.
Environment Canada says near zero visibility is expected or occurring.
Environment Canada says fog moved in from Lake Ontario, contributing to dense fog along the QEW in St. Catharines and eastwards along Highway 405.
If visibility is reduced behind the wheel, slow down, keep an eye out for tail lights ahead, and be prepared to stop.
