Vaccine deliveries to increase and Ontario expands age eligibility
Larger deliveries of COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in the provinces and territories in the coming weeks, as Pfizer-BioNTech prepares to double its shipments and Johnson & Johnson's vaccine is distributed once it thaws.
On top of that one million Moderna doses will be allocated in two weeks.
Also, Ontario announcing yesterday it will open up eligibility for the vaccine to all adults starting May 24th.
This week, anyone 55 and over can get a shot, next week that opens up to individuals 50 and over.
Then the week of May 10th, people 40 and over can start booking.
The week of May 17th, those 30 plus can book an appointment.
The week of May 24th, anyone 18 or older becomes eligible.
There are also exceptions for people with at risk health conditions, certain professions and workplaces as well as designated hot spots.
