Pet owners in Niagara should fill out a care and ownership instruction card right now just in case they fall ill.
Fido Niagara is teaming up with the Lincoln County Humane Society, Niagara Health and Niagara EMS to make sure all pets are cared for during the COVID-19 crisis.
The Pet Emergency Temporary Shelter Program (PETS) is for those who don’t have anyone to look out for their furry friend if they are hospitalized or unable to look after them.
It provides up to two-weeks of boarding at the Lincoln County Humane Society or fostering through Fido Niagara, but it’s all depending on the animal’s circumstances and program space availability.
Pet owners will have to provide the LCHS with a referral from hospital staff.
