The federal government is taking a step to help other countries defeat COVID-19.
About 17.7 million AstraZeneca doses will be donated to the global vaccine-sharing network COVAX.
The government has also vowed to match Canadians' contributions to UNICEF's "Give a Vax" campaign, up to $10 million.
The campaign will run until September 6th.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had previously pledged to share 100 million doses.
Thirteen million would go to developing nations, and the rest would come in the form of funding to global initiatives such as COVAX.
Procurement Minister Anita Anand says the 17.7 million vaccinations are coming from excess supply in provinces.
